GAME SUMMARY

The Southside of Chicago erupted with rivalry cheer tonight as the decade's old powerhouses, the Mount Carmel Caravan and the St. Rita Mustangs come together on the turf. Since its start in 1923, the Caravan and the Mustangs have continued to give the Southside what it wants: deep-rooted and gritty gridiron rivalry. Mount Carmel exploded out of the gate, scoring three touchdowns in the first quarter. While the St. Rita defense did its best to block the wall that is the Mount Carmel offense, it was no use for huge plays that include a 13-yard touchdown pass and a pick six. An exciting game and another win for the Caravan, 20-9.
