This heavyweight matchup between two powerhouse Texas high school football programs make their first appearance within the Great American Rivalry Series.  This series has gone back and forth almost every year since its inception shown by Klein Collins having a marginal edge in terms of wins in the series by a count of 11-7.  These two schools are set to face off under the lights on September 23rd in a contest that has seen multiple NFL talents play within the game.  Last year saw Klein Collins defeat Klein Oak by a score of 20-10.  Will Klein Collins be able to stay in their winning ways or will Klein Oak take revenge for last year’s defeat?

Gage is a 2-year letterman on the varsity football team and has been a part of the Klein Collins football team since he was a freshman. He is one of the defensive captains and starting inside linebacker. Gage is ranked 129 in his graduating class, putting him in the top 20%. Gage wants to study criminal justice in college. He is still undecided where he wants to go but he does want to stay in state.

Timmy understands the balance in academics and being an athlete. He is always willing to go the extra mile to succeed in both areas. Timmy anticipates deciding on his further playing and educational direction in the upcoming months with multiple offers to play football at the collegiate level.

GAME SUMMARY

After Collins scored a 10-yd pass plus another touchdown, this rivalry ended the 1st quarter with a score of 14-0. In the second quarter, the Tigers put an impressive 2 TD’s up to bring the game to 28-0 at the half. In the second half, Klein Oak put a TD on the board but the Tigers answered with two touchdowns of their own to command the lead and secure the win for Klein Collins with a score of 42-7.
