Lakeland and Kathleen have been playing each other for many years. But for the last 24 years, Lakeland has come out on top. This year was sure to be a challenge as Kathleen entered the game 8-1 and ready to stake a claim to the rivalry trophy. Lakeland at 9-0 seemed like it would be up to the challenge.

GAME SUMMARY

From the starting kick, Kathleen looked like the fresher, more athletic team. Over the weeks leading up to the game Lakeland had been devastated by injuries. Their 2nd and 3rd string players could not keep pace with the Kathleen starters. Kathleen broke the back of the Dreadknots with two long scoring drives in the 3rd Quarter, to put the game out of reach. The final score: Kathleen- 24, Lakeland- 3.
