The “Battle on the River” between Hahnville and Destrehan High Schools was a battle indeed, as the fighting Tigers took on the fighting Wildcats.

Drew is a 2 year letterman for football and soccer. He was awarded Summa Cum Laude and the Dow Academic Award for 2 years and was named to the 2015 LHSAA Academic All-State Composite Team. Drew plans to attend Louisiana Tech.

Jacob Wentz
Destrehan
Jacob lettered on the 2014 LHSAA District 7-5A Champion and Class 5A State Finalist football team. He is currently the starting right tackle for the 2015 fighting Wildcats. Jacob plans on continuing his football and academic career in college and intends on majoring in Computer Science.

Keith Melancon
Hahnville
Dr. Keith Melancon played several seasons and was on the 1981 undefeated District Championship team. Keith went on to play offensive line at Louisiana State University and now works closely with the team through the Touchdown Club and supporting team physician. His Hahnville football legacy lives on through his 2 sons, Drew and Dalton, who play for the Fighting Tigers.

Jordan Jefferson
Destrehan
Jordan Jefferson lead the Fighting Wildcats in a thrilling 31-42 double overtime win against Hahnville his senior season. As a captain and QB fo the 2007-2008 team, Jordan lead the Fighting Wildcats to an undefeated season that ended with a State Championship win over Acadiana. Jordan’s play earned him a scholarship to Louisiana State University. As a Tiger, Jordan was 2nd in career wins with a 24-8 record, conference champions and a BCS championship contender. Jordan Jefforson now serves as a mentor and quarterbacks coach at DHS.
