Grosse Pointe South will host their across-town rival in the annual match up of South vs. North. Both schools look forward to this week each year. “It’s just a different game altogether,” Grosse Pointe South coach Tim Brandon said. “It’s hard to explain because you cannot feel it until you are down there in it. But I think it’s the greatest rivalry in the state, a tight-knit community in a big metropolitan area.”  It will be interesting to see if the Blue Devils will take home another heavy victory like their 54-0 win last year.

GAME SUMMARY

Following the last seasons loss, the Grosse Pointe North hearts were broken again as the Blue Devils walked away with a 42-0 win and the Great American Rivalry Series Championship. The Grosse Pointe South strong efforts went unanswered by the Noresmen. This type of loss will only serve to strengthen the rivalry between these two teams.
