In this famous Wisconsin football rivalry, the Freedom Irish faced off against the Wrightstown Tigers in a much-anticipated battle. Right from the first possession, Freedom had control on the ground and consistently dominated with their run game. Eventual MVP running back Axzil Eggert spearheaded Freedom’s rush attack with multiple explosive runs and a first half touchdown. This didn’t stop Wrightstown from fighting back into the game during the second half however, as multiple game-changing turnovers on defense kept Wrightstown in the game until the very end. Despite their defense’s effort, Wrightstown’s offense was unable to capitalize on their chances, as Freedom’s defense proved insurmountable. This great game was unfortunately called off with four minutes left in the 4th quarter due to lightning strikes, which led to Freedom winning 16-6 and moving to an impressive 6-1 on the season.
