The Dow High Chargers claimed city bragging rights Friday night with a dominant 34–7 victory over the Midland Chemics. Dow’s offense was firing on all cylinders, led by running back Garlands Randolph, who rushed for 85 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Wynn Diegel added balance through the air, throwing for 227 yards and two scores. Midland had flashes of promise but was plagued by costly penalties and turnovers that stalled drives. Dow’s defense made several big stops, including a key interception that halted a Chemics rally in the second half. With the win, Dow improved to 8–1 on the season, while Midland fell to 4–5 as both teams now turn their focus toward playoff positioning. The Chargers were named Great American Rivalry Series Champions, avenging their loss to the Chemics last season. Randolph was named MVP of the game for his three rushing scores.
