The 103rd installment of the FNC Trophy was nothing short of excitement. Both teams came in with fire and passion after last season’s dramatic 28-27 Columbus win, Fremont falling short on the last play of the game. This year the Discoverers took full advantage of two early and costly Tiger fumbles to jump ahead 14-0 after one quarter. Columbus added a touchdown late in the second quarter to push the lead up to 21-0. Fremont made a late push scoring two second half touchdowns but was too much ground to make up as game MVP and Columbus running back Carter Eisenmann ran in his second touchdown to finish the scoring at 28-13. Eisenmann added 90 yards total on the ground en route to the win and recognition.
