The Santa Clarita Valley in California is filled with prep football powerhouses.  Two of which, Canyon High School and Hart High School will take to the field as part of the 2006 Great American Rivalry Series, spotlighting some of the nation’s best rivalries and high school football programs. Both teams have had winning streaks that would make anyone envious.  “The Streak” for Canyon was a 46 game winning streak that lasted from October of 1983, and ended in November of 1986.  Equally impressive was Hart’s 15-season, 65 game Foothill League winning streak that ended in 2004.

GAME SUMMARY

Although Hart was looking to redeem themselves and to continue their winning ways over Canyon, 2006 would not be the year. Canyon prevailed again and took the game 41-25.
