Laitenn has been a dedicated four-year member of the football, wrestling, and track & field teams. A standout athlete, he is a two-time medalist at the state wrestling tournament and a two-time state track meet qualifier. Beyond athletics, he is actively involved in FCA, C-Club, Habitat for Humanity, CAYFO, CWO, and Thursday Night Lights. His commitment to both academics and service reflects his leadership and character. Laitenn plans to attend either the University of Nebraska–Lincoln or the University of Nebraska–Kearney to study medicine.
