Knoxville’s longest standing high school football rivalry met for the 88th time on September 8, 2017 at Alcoa High School. Alcoa and Maryville have met each year since 1948 to compete in what has become the most anticipated High School sporting event in the area. The history of the game and the long standing tradition is what makes this match up one of the most sought after rivalries in the US. Since 2000, Maryville has won 14 of the 16 meetings of the two teams.
