The 103rd meeting between Canisius and St Joe’s delivered nothing but fireworks. Between passionate student sections, a touchdown on the 2nd play of the game, and a broken record, it was one that fans didn’t want to miss. On the first drive, running back Elijah Kimble found a hole and broke away for a 87 yard touchdown. This was one of the junior’s many highlights throughout the day as he broke Qadree Ollison’s school rushing record. He ended the day with three touchdowns on 12 carries, totaling 254 rushing yards. His teammate and tandem at running back, Amir Hernandez also had a historic game. Hernandez, a senior, put up four touchdowns on 11 carries, totaling 148 rushing yards. On the St Joe’s side, scholar athlete Stone Rozak, played well on both sides of the ball. Rozak had 37 receiving yards and a tackle for loss. Jayovanni Ostrander played great as well ending the game with 71 yards on four receptions and a touchdown. The game was close throughout before Canisius pulled away ultimately winning 45-28. This brings the Crusaders their 12th straight win against St Joe’s, and their 21st of their last 22 outings.

Lucas is the starting kicker and punter on the Varsity Football team. He is a frequent member of the Honor Roll, and is enrolled in multiple AP classes. He plans to study business in college.
Stone Rozak

St. Joseph's

Per Coach Corona, “Stone is one of the top student-athletes I've ever coached. He holds a 90's average taking multiple AP and Honors level courses, balances a work-load as a three sport athlete, attends all off-season lifting sessions, and is a team captain. Stone is currently being recruited to play Ivy League football next year and is looking at Cornell, Columbia, Penn and Yale.
