Parkway vs Haughton

Louisiana

Welcome to Preston Crownover Stadium, where the Parkway Panthers will host the Haughton Buccaneers. In a historic rivalry that began in 1970, these two programs have faced off 52 times, with Haughton currently holding a 34-18 advantage over Parkway. This Louisiana matchup is one of over 100 featured games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

In their last five matchups, the Panthers have been able to turn the tide of the series by winning five straight games against the Buccaneers, including a dominant 48-7 victory last season. This matchup has had no shortage of star power, as Haughton is the alma mater of NFL quarterback Dak Prescott (Cowboys). Along with Prescott, NFL wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. (Eagles) also participated in this rivalry during his time playing for Parkway.

Ansonia vs Seymour

Connecticut

Welcome back to the Nolan Athletic Complex, where the Ansonia Chargers will host the Seymour Wildcats. In a rivalry that began in 2004, this season's matchup will be one of over 100 featured games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

Currently, the Chargers have been in complete control of the series, holding a 21-1 lead over the Wildcats. In their 2024 battle, Ansonia dominated both sides of the ball and prevailed 47-0. However, the visiting Wildcats will look to shift the momentum by upsetting Ansonia in front of their home fans. 

Mark your calendar for September 19, as 2,500 fans are expected to rush to their seats for another installment of this Connecticut football rivalry.

Patrick Henry vs William Fleming

Virginia

Welcome to Gainer Field in Virginia, where 1,500 fans will gather for one of Roanoke's most competitive crosstown clashes between the Patrick Henry Patriots and the William Fleming Colonels. First played in 2004, this modern rivalry has quickly become a staple in the local community and will be featured in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series, showcasing over 100 of the nation's greatest high school matchups. 

Over 21 total meetings, Patrick Henry holds a narrow 13–8 series lead, but William Fleming struck back in last year's matchup with a convincing 41–13 victory, setting the stage for this season's highly anticipated rematch. This rivalry labeled as the "Battle for the Mayor's Cup" has produced NFL connections—Ricky Williams (Saints) starred at William Fleming before his college and pro career, while former NFL lineman and current ESPN analyst Damien Woody (Patriots) played for Patrick Henry.

Sun Prairie East vs Sun Prairie West

Wisconsin

Welcome to Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium, where the Sun Prairie East Cardinals will face off against the Sun Prairie West Wolves. This matchup began in 2022 when the two schools split and is one of over 100 featured games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

Currently, Sun Prairie East has been in control of the newly formed rivalry, winning the first three matchups. Last season's meeting saw the Cardinals prevail over the Wolves, 49–16, in a dominant victory. However, Sun Prairie West will be looking to avenge last season's loss and shift the momentum of the series before the Cardinals can extend their lead any further.

Wauwatosa East vs Wauwatosa West

Wisconsin

Welcome to Hart Park Stadium in Wisconsin, where 2,000 fans will gather for the "Battle for Tosa" between the Wauwatosa East Red Raiders and the Wauwatosa West Trojans. First played in 2011, this crosstown rivalry has quickly become a fall tradition and will be featured in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series, highlighting over 100 of the nation's greatest high school football matchups. 

Across 13 total meetings, Wauwatosa West leads the all-time series 11–2, controlling the rivalry since its inception. But last season brought a dramatic twist, after West claimed the regular season game, East answered back in the playoffs with a 21–14 victory, their first win over West since 2011, breaking a decade-long streak and setting the stage for this year's highly anticipated rematch.

Whitney Young vs Morgan Park

Welcome to Rockne Stadium, where 6,000 fans will witness a brand-new chapter in Chicago high school football as the Whitney Young Dolphins take on the Morgan Park Mustangs for the first time ever. Though these two powerhouse programs have never faced off, this highly anticipated inaugural meeting promises to spark a fresh rivalry filled with pride, intensity, and high-stakes football, and will be featured as one of over 100 games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

This game marks the first-ever matchup between Whitney Young and Morgan Park. Morgan Park enters the season fresh off a 10–2 campaign that included a deep run to the Elite 8 in the state playoffs. On the other sideline, Whitney Young posted an impressive 12–2 record and reached the second round of the playoffs, proving they’re a team hunting a state title. 

Set for September 19th, this game kicks off a potential new rivalry between two of the city’s most competitive programs — and fans won’t want to miss the beginning of what could become a classic.

Tri-West vs Danville

Indiana

Welcome to State Bank Stadium, home of the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins, as they host one of Indiana's most storied high school football rivalries—the showdown against the Danville Warriors. Just west of Indianapolis, the Tri-Ville Helmet Rivalry has delivered some of the most unforgettable moments in Indiana high school football history. This fierce clash will be one of over 100 featured games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

Dating back to 1983, these two programs have faced off 54 times—including playoff battles—with the all-time series locked in a 27–27 tie. Last season, Danville edged out a dramatic one-point victory to even the score and build anticipation for this year's highly anticipated 55th meeting. 

Mark your calendars for September 19th, when more than 3,000 fans will fill the stands to see if Danville can notch back-to-back wins for the first time since 2021—or if the Bruins will defend their home turf and reclaim the all-time series lead.

Cumberland Valley vs Central Dauphin

Pennsylvania

Welcome to Chapman Field at Giant Stadium in Pennsylvania, where 8,000 fans will gather for one of the states most intensely contested rivalries between the Cumberland Valley Eagles and the Central Dauphin Rams. First played in 2004, this matchup has quickly become a highlight of the Pennsylvania high school football calendar and will be featured in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series, celebrating over 100 of the nation's greatest high school rivalries. 

Across 24 total meetings since 2004, Cumberland Valley holds a close 14–10 series lead, including last season's hard-fought 10–7 victory, adding extra intrigue to this year's rematch. Beyond the game, the rivalry has produced standout talent—most notably Micah Parsons (Cowboys), who starred at Central Dauphin in this rivalry, before becoming an NFL All-Pro linebacker.

Columbus vs Fremont

Nebraska

Welcome to Memorial Stadium in Nebraska, where 5,000 fans will pack the stands for a storied rivalry between the Columbus Discoverers and the Fremont Tigers. First played in 1928, this historic showdown returns for its 98th installment as part of the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series, which celebrates more than 100 of the nation's premier high school football rivalries. Locally, it's known as the "F & C Trophy Game", a tradition rich in history and community pride. 

Fremont leads the all-time series 49–46–2, but momentum currently belongs to Columbus, who pulled off a 28–27 win last season and has now won five straight in the rivalry. The game has seen nearly a century of battles, including standout athletes like Zach Wiegert, a former Fremont Tiger who played 10 seasons and made 137 starts in the NFL as an offensive tackle. 

Set for September 19th, this year's matchup promises another intense chapter in one of Nebraska's oldest rivalries. Can Columbus continue their winning streak or will Fremont reclaim control?

Port Jervis vs Middletown

New York

Welcome to Glennette Stadium, where the Port Jervis Raiders are set to host the Middletown Middie Bears. In a historic rivalry that began in 1897, this New York matchup is one of over 100 featured games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

In their last 20 meetings, these two programs have been very competitive, with Middletown owning an 11-9 edge over Port Jervis. However, in their most recent matchup, the state champion Raiders defeated the Middie Bears 46-14. The Raiders dominated the game on the ground, rushing for 307 yards and six touchdowns. Middletown will be looking to avenge their loss from last season and return to their 2023 form, when they recorded a 9-2 season.
