Southwest Edgecombe vs Tarboro

Welcome to Lee R. Hall Complex, where the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars will host the Tarboro Vikings. This North Carolina rivalry began in 1980 and is one of over 100 featured games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series.
Since 2004, the Vikings have controlled the series, leading 15–6. Last season, Tarboro extended their winning streak over the Cougars to nine games with a 27–14 victory. The Vikings dominated on the ground in that matchup, rushing for 378 yards and three touchdowns. SouthWest Edgecombe will be looking to turn the tide of the series by upsetting Tarboro in front of their home crowd.

Hilliard Davidson vs Hilliard Darby

Welcome to Hilliard Davidson Stadium, as the Panthers of Hilliard Darby travel to face the Wildcats of Hilliard Davidson. In a rivalry that began in 2006, this matchup is one of over 100 featured games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series.
In their first 18 meetings, the Wildcats have maintained firm control of the series. They currently lead the all-time matchup 12-6 and extended their lead last season with a dominant 43-7 victory. In the past four matchups, the two programs have split the series, each winning two games back-to-back. This season, Hilliard Darby will look to avenge their loss and shift the momentum of the series by playing spoiler on the road.

This rivalry is one of the best in the entire state of Ohio, with 140 meetings in its illustrious history. Currently, the Trojans hold a narrow 68-66-6 lead over the Indians. Last season, Troy extended their lead in the series with a 21-7 victory. Prior to the last two seasons, Piqua had won three matchups in a row and is looking to get back in the driver’s seat of the series with a road victory this season.

Mankato East vs Mankato West
Minnesota
Welcome to Blakeslee Stadium in Mankato, Minnesota, where 5,500 fans will gather for one of the state’s most emotional and tradition-rich rivalries—The Jug Game between the Mankato East Cougars and the Mankato West Scarlets. First played in 1974, the rivalry ignited just two years later in 1976 when the schools officially split, sparking a fierce cross-town battle that has only grown more intense with time. This year’s matchup will be featured in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series, honoring over 100 of the nation’s greatest high school football rivalries.
Mankato West leads the all-time series 21–5 and had long dominated the rivalry, winning 21 straight games. But last season, Mankato East flipped the script with a 35–15 win—snapping the streak and bringing new energy to one of Minnesota’s most passionate showdowns.

Apple Valley has long dominated the series, holding a 38-15 advantage, including a commanding 63-20 win in 2023. The Jackrabbits have asserted their control in recent years, riding a remarkable 13-game winning streak against their longtime foes.

First played in 1978, this fierce district rivalry has been a staple of Oklahoma high school football for decades and will be featured as one of over 100 games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series.
Since 2004, the two have met 22 times, with Putnam City holding a 14–8 edge, including a 21–7 victory in last year’s matchup. Putnam City enters riding a four-game winning streak, while North previously won three straight before the current run. Both programs boast rich traditions and notable alumni — Sam Bradford, the 2008 Heisman Trophy winner, played his high school ball at North, while NFL Hall of Famer Steve Largent (Seahawks) starred at City.

First played in 1969, this iconic Sacramento showdown is steeped in tradition, pride, and unforgettable moments, and will be showcased in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series.
Jesuit holds the all-time series lead at 36-16-1 and claimed last year’s matchup in a gritty 7-0 defensive battle. The Marauders have dominated in recent years, winning 14 of the last 15 games, and continue to be a force in this storied clash.
This rivalry has produced standout athletes on both sides, with Christian Brothers and Jesuit both sending talent to the NFL—most recently Jesuit alum and 2024 first-round draft pick Laiatu Latu.
