ScoreStream, Great American Rivalry Series Agree to Partnership
LEXINGTON, Ky. – ScoreStream, Inc., the largest fan-driven, sports sharing platform in America, and the Great American Rivalry Series, are partnering up for the 2019 Series. ScoreStream and BRAINBOX, the Great American Rivalry Series founder, aim to make it much easier for fans in and around America’s biggest and best high school football rivalries to feel closer to the action than ever before.
“As we head into Rivalry Series XVI, we are excited to be receiving crowd sourced content from the national leader in sports content sharing. ScoreStream’s technology sets the pace for this type content and the fan experience will be the big beneficiary. We are jazzed,” said BRAINBOX CEO, Rick Ford.
Now in its 16th season, the Great American Rivalry Series has featured 859 games in 452 cities across 44 states. Following its social media reach of more than 77 million and traditional media reach of over 95 million last year, the 2019 Rivarly Series will have an on ground presence at 100 games this fall, a social presence at more than 1,000 and be combined with live streaming broadcasts all season.
ScoreStream, founded in 2012, provides high school fans the ability to create games, provide real time scoring, share photo and video highlights and have a real time chat around the game. ScoreStream has more than 1.5 million monthly unique app users and is used by more than 15,000 high schools.
“Local sports isn’t about the top players or top recruits, it’s about the rich history and rivalry between communities that is displayed each fall when teams meet to determine who will be the champion of their rivalry for the next year. We are thrilled to be working with the Great American Rivalry Series to help bring these games to life. There are games of tremendous interest in every part of the country and we are excited to help shine a light on as many of them as possible,”said Derrick Oien, ScoreStream CEO.
