Last year, the closely matched teams fought it out on the field. In the end, however, the Indians came out victorious by just one point.

Joshua is a four-year letter winner in football and will be a three-year letter winner in basketball. He participates in various clubs including: 12 deep, Coalition against violence, Black student Union, and concert band. Joshua is committed to the University of Virginia to continue his academic and football career.
Jake Jones

West Allegheny High School

Jake is a senior wide receiver and defensive back on the football team, as well as a varsity wrestler, with a GPA of 4.52. He is also a National Merit Scholarship semi-finalist, and has been in the West Allegheny Marine Corps JROTC program for 4 years. Last wrestling season, he coordinated a "Pin Cancer" event to raise money for pediatric cancer.

GAME SUMMARY

This match-up had fans on the edge of their seats until the very last second. West Allegheny started off strong, moving steadily down the field to score their first touchdown in the first quarter. The Indians play an aggressive defense, forcing the Wolverines to punt going into the second quarter. Despite West Allegheny's efforts, Tarik Sippio scores the Wolverines a 47-yard touchdown, allowing Woodland Hills to lead 14-7 going into the half. The Indians tie the game 14-14 with a touchdown in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, Woodland Hills receives the ball with 41 seconds left to the game, but is unable to break the tie before the clock runs out. Woodland Hills scores a touchdown in overtime to gain the lead 20-14, but their extra point is blocked by West Allegheny. In the end, the Indians were able to secure a touchdown and their extra point, winning the game 21-20.
