There is no love lost when the Hoover Buccaneers face off against the Vestavia Hills Rebels. These region foes have been playing in, not only the state of Alabama, but, one of the country’s biggest rivalries since 1972. The Buccaneers have dominated the series since the turn of the century and look to record a sixth straight win with the Rebels’ last victory coming in 2015.

Cotton Peters

Hoover

Cotton was inducted into the National Honor Society in May of 2021. He is a part of the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society as well. He passed three AP exams last May, which included Economics, English Language and Composition, and Seminar. Also, he is currently pursuing the AP Capstone degree, one of the most elite accomplishments offered in high school. He plays on the Hoover Varsity Football team and is very active in his church. He holds a 4.3/4.0 GPA and has a 33 composite score on the ACT.
Zachary Mueller

Vestavia Hills

Zach plans to major in political science in college and pursue a career in law. He's involved in We the People, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Rho Kappa.
