Since the “Battle of Chester” began in 1980, the rivalry between Thomas Dale and LC Bird, separated by just six miles, is led in the all-time series by LC Bird. The Skyhawks have consistently been crowned the champions until an upset in 2017, when the Knights dominated in a 36-6 victory.  The Knights look to continue their late success and make it four in a row this year in one of Virginia’s fiercest rivalries.
