All that separates these two foes is five miles. The “Battle of Lucy Street” was named from the road that divides the schools. The South Dade v. Homestead rivalry demonstrates passionate athleticism and sportsman-like respect in the local community. South Dade has commanded the rivalry since its inception and looks to continue to do so after last meeting 23-0 victory.

Christopher has opted to do Early Admissions which allows him to graduate with his AA. He is an honor roll student as well as being a team captain. After graduating Christopher plans to be a firefighter, arborist, or landscape artist.

Homestead

Taquevious is a four-year football player and a 3-year letterman as well as a 3-year member of the track and field team. He shines bright on the field and in the classroom as well!

GAME SUMMARY

Tonight's installment of the Homestead and South Dade ended early due to some unforeseen events at the stadium. With that said Homestead dominated on both sides of the ball tonight defeating South Dade in the "Battle of Lucy Street", 42-14.
