Rome Free Academy kicked off their 125th season Friday night with a big rivalry game against Utica Proctor. Utica came out hot by scoring the first 21 points of the game and taking a 16 point lead into halftime. The Raiders Nick Abraham led the team in the stat book and by showing he wanted to come away with a win by rushing for 133 yards and two touchdowns.

Arin is a two year starter at offensive guard. He is a member of the indoor and outdoor track team, the National Honor Society and the weightlifting club. He is the record holder in the bench press with a 330 lb press.

Nick is a 4 year letterman in both baseball and football. He was second team all-league last year in both sports. Nick is currently the senior class president and member of the National Honor Society. Nick plans to attend Hamilton College next year to major in chemistry and later attend medical school.

GAME SUMMARY

Although the Black Knights of Rome made a valiant offensive and defensive effort in the second half, they still came up just short. The Raiders were outscored 20-7 in the second half but it turned out that they only needed the one touchdown late in the 4th to come away with the Great American Rivalry Series Victory
