The Sachem North and Patchogue-Medford game draws in thousands of fans. From the start of the rivalry in 2009 for the “Touchdowns Against Cancer” game, Raiders and Arrows fans gather to see who will go home victorious. Last year, Patchogue Medford won by only 3 points in a 17-14 game. With such closely matched teams, 2019 could be anyone’s year.

Josh Walker is a 3-sport athlete for the Arrows, as he is a member of the Varsity football, wrestling, and lacrosse teams. On the gridiron, Josh is a 3year starter at the WR and DB. He is also a proud member of the National Honor Society & Mentoring Club

Patchogue Medford High School

Adrian is a 3 sport varsity athlete who is taking AP classes. He is an extremely hard worker who exemplifies the importance of on the field and in the classroom dedication. Adrian will be pursuing a career in the Mathematics field.

Follow this page during the game to see content from the Scorestream app! Every year since, the Sachem North Flaming Arrows and Patchogue-Medford Raiders have competed fiercely. Last year, in Patchogue Medford won by only 3 points, and they returned to the game this year with experienced players on the offensive line. Sachem North brought a younger but highly talented offensive line, along with a trio of skilled running backs. In the first quarter, Sachem North earned a 7-0 lead, but Patchogue Medford brought it up to 7-6 by halftime. Patchogue-Medford recovered a fumble to earn another touchdown in the third quarter, closely followed by a field goal. Sachem North gained a field goal as well, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Raiders from a 23-10 victory.
