The South Medford vs. North Medford game is one of the most highly anticipated Rivalry Games in the state. It is a battle amongst teams who share the same football stadium. Nobody wants to lose in “their” house. Look for this one to be a close one between these two Oregon powerhouses.

Trent has a cumulative GPA of 4.0. This year will be his 3rd Varsity in football to go with his 2 letters in basketball. During his senior year in football he has been a leader both on and off the field and represented as team captain vs. Centennial. Trent has been involved with South Medford student leadership as well as a link leader for 2 years. His future plans after high school include going to college and earning a degree in sports management.

Dallin England

North Medford

Dallin England has a 4.0 GPA including several honors and AP classes. RJ is a two year letterman in football, a three year letterman in wrestling. He has also lettered in track and field. RJ is a member of the Torch Honor Society at North Medford High School. He is a leader in Young Marines where he holds the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. RJ plans to attend college next fall where he is interested in pursuing a law degree.

Andres Reed

South Medford

Andres is a 2003 graduate of SM high school and during his senior year had over 600 yards rushing and 300 yards passing, including scoring 8 touchdowns. None of those touchdowns were more important that the one on 4th down from Boomer Marshall in the 4th quarter of the 2002 Black and Blue bowl to secure the victory for the Panthers.

Jim Figoni

North Medford

Jim has been around the North Medford football program for many years. Jim is a 3-year letterman for the university of Oregon FB program from 1970-72. He has been a high school football coach for the past 45 years.

GAME SUMMARY

South Medford once again came out focused in this rivalry game after defeating North Medford last year in similar fashion. The Panthers scored on their opening two possessions to quickly assert their dominance and prove they were here to win. From there it was all Panthers. Senior running back and MVP Terrence Butler led the way for the Panthers with 180 yards rushing and three touchdowns. In the end, he and South Medford were simply too much for the Black Tornado from North Medford. The final score was Panthers 35, Black Tornado 0.
