Mona Shores vs. Muskegon is consistently one of the most heated rivalries not only in the state of Michigan but in the nation. The Sailors and the Big Reds are always two of the best teams in the state, and this game near the end of the season usually determines who wins the OK Black Championship and goes onto compete for a state title.  Last year, Mona Shores suffered a 55-35 loss, bringing the series record to 31-7 in Muskegon’s favor.

Nolan maintains a 4.15 G-P-A and is part of the Athletic Leadership Council as well as the Student Leadership Class and National Honor Society. This year, he will serve as the Vice President. Nolan is also a varsity letterman in hockey and baseball.
Jordan Porter

Muskegon High School

Jordan maintains a 3.8 G-P-A and is a member of the National Honor Society. In addition to football, he also participates in basketball and track and field.

GAME SUMMARY

This year’s meeting of Muskegon and Mona Shores ended in a 53-0 victory for Muskegon. This brings the record to 32 wins for Muskegon and 7 for Mona Shores. Though there was great talent on both teams, Mona Shores was unable to get points on the scoreboard. This painful loss for Mona Shores that will only intensify the next time these two teams meet on the field.
