GAME SUMMARY

The game was a defensive show down as both teams struggled to move the ball down the field. Fortunately for Moeller, they had game MVP Matt Coughlin on their side. Matt kicked two long field goals giving the Crusaders the edge. The first was a 37-yard field goal following a fumble recovery and stalled drive giving the Crusaders a 10-0 lead. St. Xavier was able to score with a minute left in the half on a 24 yard touchdown pass to running back Ronnie Fricke. Then early in the 3rd quarter Coughlin booted a 47 yard field goal that gave the Crusaders a 13-7 advantage. This would be all that was needed and the final score. Moeller improves their overall record to 39-19 against the Bombers.
