Since the “Battle of Chester” began in 1980, the rivalry between the two schools, separated by just six miles, is led in the all-time series by LC Bird. The Skyhawks have consistently been crowned the champions until an upset in 2017, when the Knights dominated in a 36-6 victory. The Knights look to continue there late success and make it three wins in a row this year in one of Virginia’s fiercest rivalries.

Brandon excels on and off the field for the Skyhawks. A senior linebacker and tight end for the LC Bird football program that also maintains a 3 point 9-3 G-P-A. Brandon plans on continuing his football and academic career at the next level.
Kyon Turner

Thomas Dale

Kyon spends his free time volunteering with the local youth football programs as well as being named to the Captains Council. Kyon has been a three year-varsity letter award winner and two-year starter at wide receiver while maintaining a 3 point 6 G-P-A. Kyon plans to major in Sports Marketing and Business in college.

GAME SUMMARY

The 'Battle of Chester' concluded with a win from the Thomas Dale Knights. With a fast start from Kyon Turner of Dale, the Knights went into the half with the lead over LC Bird. With an extra point success of female kicker, McKenzie Scherra, the Knights went on to take the win, with a final of 7-26.
