GAME SUMMARY

It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, the celebration is a good one at Vestavia Hills High school. The Rebels' Walker Minor scored the go-ahead touchdown with less than four minutes remaining and Vestavia took down Hoover 20-13. Hoover did have its chances to possibly tie the game up after trailing by seven in the final minutes, but both times the Rebels defense stopped the Bucs' offense. The final time on a hail mary pass as time expired. The win by Vestavia over Hoover ended a seven-game losing streak to the Bucs. Vestavia Head coach Buddy Anderson said it is one of his top five all-time wins, and that is saying something for a head coach that has the most wins in the history of Alabama high school football.
