As a part of Bonita Vista and East Lake’s rivalry, each year they compete for a boot trophy. The boot currently resides at Bonita Vista and East Lake is set out to bring the boot back to their school where they held it for 10 consecutive years before Bonita Vista stole it two years ago.

Vince is a two year letterman on the Varsity Football team and a 4 year letterman in Track & Field. Off the field, Vince is a part of the Associated Student Body holding the position of President. After graduation, Vince plans on attending CSULB to pursue a degree in Kinesiology.
Tanner Moulton

Eastlake

Tanner is a Senior on the East Lake Football team. His hard work on the field is noticed as he was named Special Team Player of the Week earlier this year. Not only is Tanner hard working on the field, he is also a hard worker in the classroom. Tanner has managed to achieve a 4.3 GPA on top of his grueling football schedule.

Anthony Posada

Bonita Vista

Anthony Pasada was a 4 year starter for the Bonita Vista Football team. He went 2-2 against East Lake during his 4 years on the team. His most memorable game was in 2015 when he drove the Barons down the field and threw the game winning touchdown. In the last game against East Lake, Anthony threw 3 touchdowns and led the Barons to a 20-12 Victory. Accepting this award on his behalf is his brother, Diego Posada
Tony Jefferson

Eastlake

Tony Jefferson was a key player on the Eastlake Football team. During his time on the team, he made 88 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, four sacks, two fumbles caused, two fumbles recovered, and lead Eastlake to a San Diego Division 1 CIF championship during his senior year. He earned a 2009 USA Today All-American selection. Jefferson later went on to play football for Oklahoma and now plays in the NFL for the Baltimore Ravens.

GAME SUMMARY

In the battle for the coveted “boot” trophy, East Lake came out in hopes to claim back the trophy they once housed for 10 years. Eastlake crushed Bonita Vista on Friday night winning 55 – 0 and solidifying Bonita Vista’s winless season. Eastlake came out strong at the beginning on the game and was ahead 34 - 0 by the end of the half, putting Bonita Vista too far behind to come back in the second half. The MVP for the game, Billy Dunkle #76, had an outstanding game that helped keep Eastlake to a shutout win over Bonita Vista.
