GAME SUMMARY

The game started off with a bang. Both teams scored on their opening possessions and Western blocked Eastern’s first point after touchdown attempt. The game was very back and forth with no team gaining a lead of more than 14 points. Late in the game Western took the lead. They scored on a touchdown with 35 seconds left and it seemed like Eastern was going to get their first loss of the season. But, Eastern had a huge return on the kickoff to put them in great field position. On the very first play of the drive, the hero for Eastern and eventual MVP John Lamot avoided early pressure and scrambled 50+ yards to score the touchdown with 20 seconds remaining. Trailing by only 1 point now, Eastern decided to go for the win with a 2 point conversion. Lamot scored again and Eastern took the lead and would stop Western from scoring in the remaining 20 seconds. The final score being Eastern 43 Western 42.
