These two St. Louis powerhouses renew their rivalry this fall. These two schools are bitter rivals and often time have games go to down to the wire. East St. Louis is looking to build of their win last season at home, 32-17. De Smet plays hosts to their crosstown rivals looking to get a game back in the series and bring home the bragging rights.

Demetrion is a 2-year letterman in football and is an -all-state caliber wide receiver holding Division 1 offers from Dartmouth and Southeast Missouri. He is also a member of the track team specializing in relays and sprinting events. Please give a warm round of applause and congratulations to Demetrion!
Miles McVay

East St. Louis

Miles is currently ranked in the top 10% of his Senior class. Miles is also a 4 star offensive tackle who will be playing in the Under Armour All-American game this year. Miles also plans to study journalism and broadcasting at the University of Alabama!

GAME SUMMARY

East St. Louis set the tone for this Rivalry game tonight with an impressive punt return to the 50yd line. The Flyers came to play with two touchdowns and a 2pt conversion to take a massive lead 16-0. Another TD and a filed goal sent the game into halftime with a score of 26-0. DeSmet came out of the locker rooms and scored early in the second half with a TD to put 7 on the board. The Flyers answered with two TDs to secure their lead 40-7. DeSmet fought back with a field goal but the East St. louis Flyers took home the victory with a final score of 40-10.
