GAME SUMMARY

History favors the East Grand Rapids Pioneers who hold the winning record in the rivalry series (46-22-2). This year’s game was possibly the most significant since the teams began the gridiron feud due to two factors: Sophomore sensation Darby Dean, the first female football player in Lowell school history; and county redistricting that makes this the final rivalry game played by the neighboring cities. Some 4,500 spectators turned out for this final rivalry game despite the intense wind and bitter cold elements!
