For those present, many of whom reside in and around El Paso, Texas, it was a long-awaited collision course of seemingly Homeric proportions, as Franklin High School faced off against their Coronado High School counterparts, at the Sun Bowl, on the evening of Thursday, October 22nd, 2015.

Nathan has been a 4 years Franlin football player and a two year letterman. Nate has been a part of the National Honor Society during his time at Franklin High School. His inspiration comes from his parents and his young brothers. We are proud to have Nate as a representative of the Franklin Football Program.

GAME SUMMARY

The Cougars scored on the first drive of the game, capping an eight-play drive with a 13-yard quarterback keeper by Mueller, and a successful kick by junior Isaac Garcia, to put them up 7-0. Franklin responded with a seven-play drive that finished with a 29-yard touchdown pass from Mueller to sophomore wide receiver Gunner Romney on a seam route under double coverage. The Cougars led the Thunderbirds 14-6 with 4:31 left in the half. The Franklin offense made a quick strike on its first drive of the second half. On the first play, Mueller hit Romney for a 75-yard touchdown pass to put the Cougars up 27-6 with 9:47 in the third quarter. Franklin put a cork in the game with a 1-yard keeper by Mueller, plus a kick by Garcia, to give the Cougars a 41-12 lead at the end of the third quarter.
