Philip, a 2002 graduate of Banning HS, has been a teacher and helper for three years. During his playing career, he was a three-year letterman, was named first-team CIF, and recorded the most all-purpose yards in school history. He was also a track star, winning the Golden Horseshoe Award and holds the record in the triple jump. Philip attended the University of Las Vegas, where he was named All-League First Team. He then traveled to Europe where he played in the German Football League.
