INDIANAPOLIS, IN — In a matchup of two of the best teams in the state, Warren Central came out on top.

The Warren Central Warriors went up early and never looked back in their 24-7 win over the Ben Davis Giants on Friday night. Ben Davis High School saw over 9,000 fans witness a game that’s part of the 2013 Great American Rivalry Series presented by the U.S. Marine Corps and Hibbett Sports.

Both teams are ranked in the top 5 in the state. Warren Central has won six of the last eight matchups despite losing last season. Warren Central has a 26-18 all-time series lead.

Quarterback Jeff George completed 10 of 16 passes for 171 yards and two scores and was named the Great American Rivalry Series Most Valuable Player. He had a 52-yard TD pass to Darius Lee on the first offensive play for the Warriors, who led 14-0 10 minutes in..

Warren Central (3-1) hosts North Central next Friday night, while Ben Davis (2-2) hosts Pike on Saturday night.
