St. Joseph’s 48, Fairfield Prep 33 (9/20/2014)

St. Joseph’s kept the lead the entire game to defeat rival Fairfield Prep in a Connecticut rivalry contest.

St. Joseph and Fairfield College Preparatory share very close quarters. These two schools are located only five minutes apart, sharing one highly engaged community. These schools rival in all things sports and academic. Being two local private schools tradition is highly maintained. These they play annually drawing in one of the biggest crowds at a high school game in the entire state.

St. Joseph started off the game scoring having two touchdowns in the first quarter alone to Fairfield’s zero. The teams went in at the half with a score of 7 to 26. Fairfield prep made a strong comeback in the third, coming within a single touchdown by the Jesuits. Ultimately St. Joe took the win with a score of 33 to 48.
