by Stacey Edwards

It was a beautiful night in Lake Ronkonkoma, New York as Sachem North and Brentwood geared up to play their rivalry game on Sachem North Homecoming night. Sachem North was undefeated for the past two years until they played in the playoffs, so this promised to be one heck of a game, complete with fireworks for Homecoming to follow its conclusion.

Both teams were ready for kickoff, and Sachem North scored the first touchdown of the night after running a 35-yard touchdown. Sachem North got the ball again and scored after passing a 20-yard throw into the end-zone.

The second quarter started with Sachem North scoring three more touchdowns before the end of the first half, leaving the field at the break with 35-0 lead.

Brentwood scored their first touchdown to begin of the third quarter, but Sachem North answered right back with two more touchdowns to close out the third quarter.

Brentwood was eager to get back in the game and scored their second touchdown of the night, only to see Sachem North come right back with another TD. The game ended with Sachem North winning this Rivalry game by a score of 56-14.
