PREVIEW: Depew vs. Lancaster (NY)

DEPEW, NY – Expect another tight matchup when the Depew Wildcats face the Lancaster Redskins on Friday at 7:30 p.m. (EST) Over 6,500 fans are expected at Depew High School for a game that’s part of the 2013 Great American Rivalry Series presented by the U.S. Marine Corps and Hibbett Sports.

The last four games in the series have been decided by eight points or less with Depew winning the last three, including a 21-13 win last season. The rivalry is one of the oldest in New York, dating back to 1919.

The Brian Wilson-coached Wildcats went 7-2 last season and are off to a 5-1 start this season after a 45-16 win over Eden.

The Redskins, who are coached by Chris Dickson, already have two more wins than they had all of last season. They are 3-3 with three straight losses, including a 31-0 shutout loss to Frontier in their last game.
