Pisgah 37, Tuscola 20 (10/17/2014)

The Pisgah vs. Tuscola game is a huge conference matchup that usually determines who will advance to the state playoffs. These two teams play annually with Tuscola holding a slight advantage in overall wins, 26-23 with one tie. Both teams had a shaky start to their seasons before heading into conference play. Tuscola had a 4-3 record heading into the matchup but were 3-0 in conference. Pisgah was also 4-3 heading into the matchupbut were 2-1 in conference play.

The home team, Pisgah, began the game with the ball and drove down the field with ease. They marched down the field and scored on a rush attempt to take and early lead but would miss the extra point attempt. From there on it was back and forth all game. Heading into the 4thquarter, Tuscola held a very slim lead 20-16. The Pisgah Black Bears would go on to score twenty one unanswered points in the 4thand shutout the Mountaineers to hold on to victory with the final score being 37-20.
