It was another featured game by the Great American Rivalry Series in the Wolvarena stadium as Woodland Hills and Penn Hills geared up to face one another in their last regular season game.
The first quarter got started with both teams playing some strong defense but that quickly stopped when Woodland Hills scored their first touchdown of the night with easy throw into the end zone, making it look effortless while putting the first touchdown of the night on the scoreboard.
In the second quarter, Penn Hills answered back with their first touchdown of the night. Woodland Hills then went for a touchdown but could not get it in the end zone. They kicked and scored with a field goal, bringing the first half to an end with a score of 10-7, in favor of Woodland Hills.
After a scoreless third quarter, Penn Hills scored a fourth quarter touchdown. Woodland Hills attempts to answer back but misses on the touchdown attempt as well as the field goal. Penn Hills wins the football game with a final score of 14-10.
The Great American Rivalry Series Most Valuable Player went to #9 from Penn Hills, Corey Jones. The Great American Rivalry Series inducted two NFL players into our Hall of Fame: Woodland Hills alumnus Ryan Mundy from the Pittsburgh Steelers (who was present at the game) and Penn Hills alumnus Barry Church from the Dallas Cowboys (who was unable to attend).
