Northside 24, Warner Robins 21 (10/17/2014)

October 18, 2014

The people of the city of Warner Robins, whether they’re wearing blue or red, need to be extremely proud of the effort that the young men put forth Friday night in this intense rivalry which dates back to 1964.

After last years 28-17 loss to Warner Robins , Northside senior RB Willie Jordan vowed to take things in his own hands this year to ensure a victory. Jordan ran wild most of the night rushing for 249 yards on 34 carries to help Northside beat Warner Robins 24-21 in front of an overflow crowd at McConnell-Talbert Stadium. Northside’s Tae Daley came down with the game-clinching interception in the final minute to stop a Warber Robins comeback attempt.

Coach Kinsler of Northside and Coach Day of Warner Robins, who both played in this rivalry in their high school careers, each stated this was one the most intense rivalry games that they have been a part of.
