Nathan Hale 36, West Allis Central 6 (9/19/2014)

September 20, 2014

These two schools have battling since 1940 and are less than two miles apart. Each year, this is one of the biggest city rivalries in the Wisconsin area. The West Allis Central and Nathan Hale teams went head to head on Friday night, where the Nathan Hale Huskies took over the game before halftime.

A pattern developed in the opening half of the West Allis Hale-West Allis Central football rivalry contest – the Bulldogs kept making mistakes, and the Huskies kept taking advantage of them. In that half, Central had a blocked punt that led to a touchdown, an interception returned by Hale’s Tyler Millikin for a touchdown, another blocked punt for a touchdown and a fumble that led to a touchdown. That series of miscues helped give the Huskies a 29-0 advantage early in the second quarter, and they coasted from there to a 36-6 victory before a large and enthusiastic crowd.
