Des Moines East’s Jaron Turner named MVP

East Junior Jaron Turner was named the MVP for the Des Moines East vs. Des Moines North game.  East won the game 51-18. Turner accounted for 377 yards, racked up five touchdowns  on runs of 16, 21, 9 and 12 yards as he weaved through the defense. Turner also completed 20-of-29 passes for 284 yards. At one point in the second quarter, he connected on five consecutive passes that went for first downs as East (1-1) rolled to another win over the Polar Bears (0-2).
