Oakville 63, Mehlville 14 – (10/10/2014)

October 11, 2014

This rivalry started in 1975 when Oakville opened as the new school in the district and is now a tradition in South County sports. Mehlville leads the series 21-13-1. There is no love lost between the two schools. The weather was terrible as it rained all night which really deterred the fans. Nevertheless, there was a decent crowd in attendance and those who were there made their presence known.

From the start, it was all Oakville all night as the Panthers just couldn’t answer the offensive power of the Tigers. Oakville quarterback and MVP Carvon Robinson had four touchdown passes and rushed for two more to lead the Tigers to the 63-14 victory. The had come to avenge last years loss to the Panthers in the playoffs and avenge they did!
