Male 27, Manual 14 (10/30/09)

November 1, 2009

The Manual Crimsons came into this game having won the past two meetings against cross-town foe the Male Bulldogs. The game-long rain turned the field into a muddy playground and the results were sloppy. Manual and Male combined for an unheard of 12 fumbles, six of those resulting in turnovers. At the end of the game, the Bulldogs were too much for the Crimsons as they snapped a two-game losing streak in the “Old Rivalry” and took home the Great American Rivalry Series Trophy.

What is the Great American Rivalry Series?

Each fall for over a century, high school football has been the centerpiece for families and communities on Friday night. In 2004, iHigh, Inc. created the Great American Rivalry Series to celebrate this uniquely American sport and the cultural phenomenon of “Friday Night in America.” The Series shines the spotlight on top high school football rivalries across the nation, where long-standing traditions are valued, expectations are sky high, and followers are committed.
