Hahnville 34, Destrehan 3 (11/4/11)

November 5, 2011

by Stacey Edwards

The Hahnville vs. Destrehan game is one of the toughest and most talked about games in Louisiana. These teams have played one another for years with this being the last game in the regular season. Both teams were looking for a share of the District Championship and also make it to the playoffs. This is one mean and tough Rivalry game between the two schools.

The first quarter got started with Hahnville coming out strong onto their home turf, scoring two quick touchdowns in the first quarter. Destrehan answered back by putting up some points with a field goal. Destrehan later fumbled the ball, putting it into the hands of the Tigers right before the half. A long 45-yard field goal kick was good, and both teams rushed off the field with a half-time score of 27-3, Hahnville.

The second half got started with both teams struggling. But Hahnville scored another touchdown with the clock winding down and won the Rivalry Game with a final score of 34-3.
