The Great American Rivalry Series celebrates the cultural phenomenon of Friday night high school football by shining the spotlight on classic gridiron clashes where expectations are sky high and die-hard fans abound! This week’s games are:

Friday, Sept. 25th at 7:30 p.m.
Danville vs. Boyle County
Danville KY

Friday, Sept. 25th at 7:30 p.m.
Tucker vs. Marist
Tucker GA

Friday, Sept. 25th at 7:30p.m.
Byrnes vs. Gaffney
Duncan SC

Friday, Sept. 25th at 7:30p.m.
Lloyd C. Bird vs. Thomas Dale
Chesterfield VA

Friday, Sept. 25th at 7:00p.m.
Grosse Pointe South vs. Grosse Pointe North
Grosse Pointe Farms MI

Winning teams earn bragging rights and the coveted Great American Rivalry Champion trophy. The games’ Most Valuable Players are also recognized. In addition, games include t-shirt give-aways, fan competitions such as chin-up or push-up contests, and many other acitivities that will add to the festivities.

What is the Great American Rivalry Series?

Each fall for over a century, high school football has been the centerpiece for families and communities on Friday night. In 2004, iHigh, Inc. created the Great American Rivalry Series to celebrate this uniquely American sport and the cultural phenomenon of “Friday Night in America.” The Series shines the spotlight on top high school football rivalries across the nation, where long-standing traditions are valued, expectations are sky high, and followers are committed.
