Glencoe 49, Hillsboro 22 (9/27/13)

HILLSBORO, OR — Glencoe back Kainoa Hanchett couldn’t be stopped on Friday night.

Hanchett ran for 293 yards and three scores to lead the Glencoe Crimson Tide to a 49-22 win over the Hillsboro Spartans at Hare Field. Over 5,000 attended the game that was part of the 2013 Great American Rivalry Series presented by the U.S. Marine Corps and Hibbett Sports.

Hanchett ran for scores of 39, 1 and 68 yards and was named the Great American Rivalry Series Most Valuable Player. Tom Ward added TD runs of 4, 15 and 31 yards.

The Crimson Tide have won three straight in the series and hold a 24-9 edge in the all-time series.

Glencoe (3-2) hosts Forest Grove next Friday night, while Hillsboro (2-3) is at McMinnville the same night.
