The Grosse Pointe North Norsemen and the Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils will face off in the 44th meeting between the two rivals on Friday night. The Blue Devils defeated the Norsemen 18-13 in last season’s battle. South has now won two in a row after dropping six straight in the series. The Norsemen lead the all-time series, 28-15.

GAME SUMMARY

South's only first-half score came from its defense when linebacker Jack Fry returned an interception 45 yards for a score. Halftime score would be 12-7 in favor of the Norsemen. South's offense scored on its first drive of the second half with a 4-yard touchdown run by Renell Perkins to give South its first lead. With less than a minute left on the clock, Grosse Pointe South drove deep into Norsemen territory and set up for a game-winning 35-yard field goal.
