Fayetteville 49, Springdale 21 – (10/10/2014)

October 11, 2014

It was the “Battle of the Bulldogs” as Fayetteville played Springdale in the oldest rivalry in the state of Arkansas. This was the 115th meeting between the ‘Purple Dogs’ and ‘Red Dogs’. Fayetteville won last year’s meeting, 38-14.

Celebrating Homecoming, the Fayetteville Bulldogs took the lead early in the game and kept the momentum going, despite the downpour they had to play in. Springdale went on to score only three times in the game as Fayetteville held on to their title as #1 in the state, with a final score of 49-21.
