DeSales 25, Bishop Watterson 14 (10/14/11)

October 15, 2011

by Leah Little

One of the best football rivalries in the state of Ohio, St Francis DeSales and Bishop Watterson met again for bragging rights.

DeSales led the entire game much on the running of DeSales MVP and Ohio State recruit Warren Ball. Ball carried 44 times for 195 yards and both of his team’s scores. Watterson mounted a late drive but DeSales put a one-possession game out of reach with a fourth-quarter safety.

Ja’Mezz McKinney recorded the safety to push DeSales’ lead to 22-14. This led to a field goal by Anthony Ciammaichella to hold off Watterson 25-14 in a Central Catholic League game.
