The Great American Rivalry Series Partners with Dave Campbell’s Texas Football this Fall

America’s largest high school football rivalry program teams and national grassroots activation experts team up with Legendary Texas brand to celebrate the best rivalries in the state of Texas

LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY – The Great American Rivalry Series® a nationwide collection of the most competitive and compelling high school football rivalries, headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky announced that they have joined forces with the “bible” of high school football in Texas, Dave Campbell’s Texas Football to shine the spotlight on the greatest matchups in the Lone Star State. The partnership will expand their collective reach this Fall by selecting the best Texas high school football rivalries to showcase each Friday night.

“There’s no brand in the state of Texas that carries more clout when it comes to high school football than Dave Campbell’s Texas Football,” says Rick Ford, president of The Great American Rivalry Series. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with them this coming Fall as we develop and grow The Great American Rivalry Series in Texas.”

For more than 11 years, The Great American Rivalry Series has spotlighted games from coast to coast. In 2014, the series spotl ighted 102 games out of more than 400 nominated, including four big games in Texas. In teaming up with Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, the plan is to focus many more resources in the high school football’s capital and grow the Rivalry Series in the State of Texas.

“It doesn’t matter if both teams are winless or if they’re fighting for their playoff lives, long-time rivalries such as Sherman vs. Denison or Longview vs. Marshall or Flower Mound vs. Flower Mound Marcus are major events regardless,” explains Adam Hochfelder, president of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football. “These are games that entire towns show up for. These are games that the youngsters participating – on the field, in the band, on the cheerleading squad – remember for the rest of their lives. Our mission is to celebrate and enhance these special community events.”
